About me

Originally from Manchester, England and now living in Ireland. With over 20 years experience in the industry, I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound engineer and music producer.

I have been making backing tracks since around 1993 and I specialize in making one-of-a-kind custom-made backing tracks.

I started playing musical instruments at the age of 9 when I played trumpet and cornet in a local brass band and orchestra.

Through my teenage years I learned to play all the instruments of a typical pop/rock band (rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums and keyboards).

I took a big interest in the keyboard instruments and started to experiment with analog and FM synthesizers.

In 1990 I purchased my first multi-track recorder, a Yamaha MT-3X and became interested in sound engineering and multi-track recording.

I'm now working in the digital domain with Apple's Logic Pro for multi-track recording and I use an M-Audio ProjectMix i/o mixing console.

I have had my music featured on local and regional radio in Ireland and my backing tracks have been used on private and corporate video.

I have made custom backing tracks for contestants on the UK television shows 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'The X Factor'.

I have also worked with, and on behalf of stage schools, theatre companies, songwriters, choral groups and drama groups in Ireland, UK and Europe.

Recent custom backing track orders have been from clients in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and in France, Holland, Germany, Norway, England, Scotland and Ireland.
